How do I check if a Steam trader is legit?
Paste their Steam profile above. The checklist shows trade bans, VAC and game bans, account age, Steam level, profile visibility and CSWatch reports. Red and amber points are reasons to slow down or walk away.
What is a Steam trade ban?
Valve blocks an account from trading after scams, chargebacks or other rule breaks. Trade probation is a warning period on an account that was trade banned before.
Does a clean result mean the trade is safe?
No. Most scams don't need a banned account. Only trade through Steam's own trade window, check that it shows the right person and items, never accept trades through links sent in chat, and never share your Steam Web API key.
Does it work with private profiles?
Bans show on every account. Account age, Steam level and inventory need a public profile.
Is it free?
Yes. Free and without signing in.
